Préface
The 89th Meeting of the Séminaire Lotharingien de Combinatoire took
place together with the BrentiFest from March 26 to March 29, 2023 in
the University Centre of Bertinoro (Italy).
The event was a great success thanks also to a special day dedicated
to celebrate Francesco Brenti's 60th birthday, although with
a delay of two years due to the pandemic. Colleagues and friends came
from all over the world including Canada, Japan, and the United
States. Overall there were almost 80 participants, making this edition
one of the most attended of the Séminaire.
This edition also enjoyed the presence of a surprising number of young
researchers in combinatorics. We organized also a poster session on
Monday evening where many of them were able to present their work.
See the complete list below, with links to most of the posters themselves.
On Monday and Wednesday, Christian Stump presented a
three-lecture mini course on
Subword complexes and brick polyhedra,
and there were eleven other contributed talks. See the complete list
below, with links to the (non-blackboard) presentations.
Tuesday was dedicated to the BrentiFest: once again "happy birthday
Francesco!". We enjoyed seven invited talks including two online
presentations from the USA. We also witnessed two very moving messages
of greetings from Anders Björner and Louis Billera who unfortunately
could not attend the event. Then we celebrated in the evening with a
social dinner. Some photos of the day are attached here.
We would like to thank all participants for enabling this beautiful celebration !
