The wave equation on singular space-times

Abstract:
A local existence and uniqueness theorem for the wave equation on a singular
space-time is established. I model the space-time metric
as a generalized static Lorentz metric in the framework of Colombeau's
theory of generalized functions.
In this context, also algebraic foundations of generalized Lorentz geometry are
developed.
