Title: "Enumerating traceless matrices."
Speaker: Angela Carnevale (Universität Bielefeld)
Abstract: I will introduce some generating functions studied in asymptotic algebra and some of their analytic and combinatorial properties. I will focus on the problem of enumerating traceless matrices over finite quotients of compact discrete valuation rings according to their image sizes. I will also present some connections with enumerative aspects of finite permutation groups.
