Title: "Cohomology of solvable groups of finite rank."

Abstract: We discuss some new results, obtained partly in collaboration with Peter Kropholler, describing circumstances under which the cohomology of a solvable group of finite rank with coefficients in a module of finite \(\mathbb Z\)-rank is torsion in all dimensions. We also discuss the implications of these results for the structure of a solvable group of finite rank.
