I am a University Professor and the chair of Dynamical Systems in Biomathematics at the University of Vienna. My main focus is on probability theory in connection with applications to population genetics and ecology. More specifically, I work on coalescent theory and on related random processes such as the Brownian web/net and branching random walks.
