The members of the group for combinatorics and discrete mathematics are mainly interested in problems of enumerative combinatorics, algebraic combinatorics and analytic combinatorics. They are also studing problems of related fields like special functions, orthogonal polynomials (hypergeometric series, Macdonald polynomials, etc.), number theory (Diophantine approximation), graph theory (automorphisms of graphs, topological graph theory, matching problems, etc.) and statistical physics.
