We have a large active group of researchers in arithmetic, algebraic geometry and combinatorics. Many researchers also work in other areas of algebra: groups and semigroups, geometric and combinatorial group theory, commutative algebra, Lie groups and Lie algebras, representation theory, deformation theory of rings and algebras, and algebraic structures in renormalizable quantum field theories.
