In the framework of the Initiativkolleg (IK) 1008-N: Differential Geometry and Lie groups ten positions are financed for mathematicians who prepare a doctoral thesis in the general field of differential geometry and Lie groups, with thesis advisor one of the members of the IK. These positions are half-time assistent position (14.000 E/year) at the University of Vienna. Positions started October 1, 2006 and end September 30, 2009.
This group combines people interested in differential geometry, Lie groups, Lie algebras, nonlinear partial differential equations, nonlinear theory of generalized functions, singularities, and general relativity.
